sylvestarrr5 StarI originally looked at doing this work myself, however, I soon realised it was well above me. After searching around the internet for local tow bar installers, I shortlisted PVS. I received a price from them, which admittedly was not the cheapest, but I prefer to support smaller local companies, a lot of the other installers seemed like "Tyresonthedrive" generic type companies (if I even got a response to enquiries). I was not confident these prices included the car specific cabling, which I was quoted for from PVS
As this was my first experience of towbars I did my research but was still unsure on the best course of action, so rang, and spoke to Peter. I finished the call with 100% confidence he knew what he was doing, and that I was getting the option that was best for me. At no point did I feel under any pressure to go for something that I did not need that was more expensive, in fact it was probably the reverse and he asked why my choice was what it was, as there were cheaper options.
I got booked in. Installation took the best part of a day, which I was told about in advance. I had a fixed flange towbar with 13 pin electrics fitted, and was also supplied a 13 pin to 7 pin adapter for a few quid more
I have been using the towbar for nearly 2 months now without issue, and I would happily use PVS again.Monday 23rd May 2022
